Jonathan, The three most helpful commentaries were; John MacArthur, Martin Luther, and Timothy George. No surprises in that list, huh? Here's a surprise for you. I found some helpful stuff in William Ramsay's 'Historical Commentary on Galatians'. This was a good resource for background studies by an archaeologist who had himself worked in Asia Minor. His theories on a Northern Galatia are interesting for various reasons. Of course this isn't discussed in my commentary for two reasons. 1. It is a devotional commentary, and 2. I don't know for sure, but wrote with Northern Galatia as my preference.
Wow! Impressive work brother! You and your brother twice (Steve) are very studious. Keep it up. I think this encourages others (myself included) to study to show ourselves approved unto God, workers that do not need to be ashamed.

Come t think of it...it is the only book next to both II Cor and Eph.
