Introduction: As we recall the initial persecution and opposition to Paul and his Gospel in Galatia, and the Gospel triumph in those cities, we find a startling statement in this sixth verse of Galatians. Paul says, essentially, I am astonished, amazed, in utter disbelief that after so short a time you are turning so quickly to your persecutors to be your teachers! It goes beyond human comprehension how that could happen. But it did happen and it does happen. The point of this passage is to introduce Paul's arguments against this defection. He does this by pointing out some differences between the Gospel and all other false gospels.

Conclusion: The greatness of the Gospel lies in its object. This object is God and God alone. The Gospel comes from God and redounds back to Him for His own glory.
