Here are the questions I received over the past couple of days, both in the comments and email;
1. The verses regarding music in the NT... Psalms Hymns & Spiritual songs... is this to be interpreted as commands to the church directly (as regarding their worship service), or are we, as Christians, only to listen to these types of music in our personal life?
2. Jeremy: pre-mill or post-mill or a-mill?
3. Did people in the old testament choose to die for God? That just sounds so... pagan somehow. So I'm wondering if I'm missing something in the translation.....
I can understand dying for God... to make it a choice when faced with the opposite of denying Christ....but...if a person for instance, devotes their child to the Lord, can't change their mind? or ... I don't know... I feel like I'm missing something somewhere...
I can see that one can't change their mind and say...oh...I want to keep that object for myself...God doesn't really need that. But if one devotes one's household to the Lord...then that's just the way it is, and if something changes they die? I don't know....applies maybe only to slaves?
Anyways,...your thoughts if you want to share them would be interesting to hear...
Leviticus 27:28"But no devoted thing that a man devotes to the LORD, of anything that he has, whether man or beast, or of his inherited field, shall be sold or redeemed; every devoted thing is most holy to the LORD. 29No one devoted, who is to be devoted for destruction from mankind, shall be ransomed; he shall surely be put to death.
4. What responsibility, if any, did Abraham have to keep Lot from associating with those of Sodom and Gomorrah? As Patriarch of his family, or as a believer in the one true God, should he have restrained or cautioned Lot?
5. How is 1 Ti 4:4 related to total depravity?
6. When is it appropriate to leave a church?
It also appears from some comments that I need to write posts on a)the relationship between law and Gospel, b) Dispensationalism, and c) the unity of the Bible.
Now that's a plateful of postststs.

Yeah, you should completely change the topics that you've been posting on!
Please do #4 first.
Buggy,
Wouldn't that make #4 become #1 and therefore make your request impossible?
Please do the question formerly known as #4 first.
Hey, you forgot my question!
hehe
