While I'm Resting...

Ask me some questions.

Guys, this Law thing was just supposed to last a week and, quite frankly, it's wearing me out. Soooo...
Ask me some questions. Leave your questions in the comments of this post or email them to me. My email address can be found on my profile page.
One rule that applies only to this round of questions, don't ask me about the Law.
I'll be getting back to the Law later in the week, but I need a break from it for a couple of days right now. I sort of feel like Faithful, in the pilgrim's Progress, who met Moses on his way up the hill called 'Difficulty'.
"So soon as the man overtook me, it was but a word and a blow; for down he knocked me, and laid me for dead. But when I was a little come to myself again I asked him wherefore he served me so. He said because of my secret inclining to Adam the First. And with that he struck me another deadly blow on the breast, and beat me down backward; so I lay at his foot as dead as before. So when I came to myself again I cried him mercy: but he said, I know not how to show mercy; and with that he knocked me down again. He had doubtless made an end of me, but that one came by and bid him forbear."

In the Beatitudes, Jesus says:
(ESV) Matthew 5:6 “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.

Is this a characteristic that will be found in all Christians?

I can barely understand most of what you have written so far...

Here's a question:

You have heard from other Christians that there is "this person" they know that has been "under conviction" (ie: knuckles turned white because of gripping the pew in front of them so they won't walk the aisle and get saved, sweat pouring down their face because they are scared of going to hell), but the individual never gets saved even though they were convicted service after service for years.

How can this be if God's irresistible grace is true God always saves those He calls?

This is a classic question asked to us Calvinists. I am curious to see what you say about it

btw, the lack of understanding isn't due to a deficiency on your part to articulate what you believe… it’s just me :)

thought I would clear that up.

How many angels can balance on the head of.. no wait. That wasn't it.

Did God forgive Adam's sin?

Are the warnings in Hebrews for true Christians as A.W. Pink, Berkhof, Shedd, and others believe, or are they for the "professing" (not possessing) Christians?

What purposes do they serve in either case?

Antonio,
You already know what I think and I know what you think. So let's just leave it at that.
Unless, of course, you've changed your mind. Then you can tell me why you did and I will rejoice with you.

I know you're an iconoclast. I'm pretty sure you're right about that, at least sure enough that I practice it. Do you also object to symbols like the cross, or just depictions of the Lord himself?

What is the message of the parable in Luke 16:1-9. What was Jesus trying to tell us?

Oh, I need to know before Sunday, because I'm teaching this passage in Sunday School.

btw I got tagged with a... meme. But I won't tag you, if you answer before Sunday.
