A Merciful God

There is an interesting perception by non-Calvinists that Calvinists think they are special because they are chosen. How wrong that is! Calvinist think that they are so dead in sin unless God chooses to save them they would forever be dead! We believe the Bible teaches that we are so sinful the only way we could be saved is if God chose, in His wonderful mercy and grace, to save us. So... we don’t think we are the “special chosen ones”. We think we are completely unworthy of being saved by a holy and righteous God!

But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ – by grace you have been saved… Eph. 2:4-5

It is sad how they can turn this most humbling doctrine into something so aberant.

BUT GOD...

Aren't those some wonderful words?!

Hey Doxo, I sent you one of my own back on your "POETRY???" post on the 24th(?).

I enjoy doing the theological poetry thing a little bit too. I didn't say they were good(!), just that I enjoyed it!
